Our Future

FunFlight is growing rapidly. On 3 June 2007, we started with 48 aircraft, 130 participants and 70 volunteers, in one location in Melbourne. In 2009 we had 1200 passengers participants and 450 flights from 15 locations around Australia. Now we are working on the 2010 national event on 14 November,  - in every state across Australia.

The next step are:
To continue to grow National FunFlight day, with more aero clubs and more local communities involved.

We want to create smaller and more local activities that allow charity organisations to call upon a network of pilots and Aero Clubs to assist them with creating a smile-filled event for their members.

Think about a Lions Club that wants to organise an event for a local hospital. They can call on FunFlight to organise local joy flights for children touched by adversity or chronic illness. The same with a charity that wants to fulfil a wish of one of its members to go flying. FunFlight can organise that.

And then, to go international: FunFlight passionately believes that an international FunFlight event is achievable. Our vision is to create 'FunFlight Smiles Around The World'.

For this to happen, we are actively seeking contact with organisations that either already organise similar activities, or that are interested in partnering with FunFlight to create this amazing possibility in other countries.

If you have ideas about organising a local Australian or international event, contact the FunFlight Team on info@funlight.org.
